Starting at a young age, my parents taught me that being a valuable part of society meant lending time and talents to better the community. As a child I would accompany my mom on shopping trips to buy groceries for home bound seniors. As I grew older, we’d spend weekends at the food pantry or women’s shelter and I’d schedule summer work hours around MDA camp and various fundraisers and events. After attending a high school that advocated volunteerism, I sought out a liberal arts college whose values produced compassionate young adults, committed to humanity and community.

Post college, I worked in marketing and events for a technology company as well as a non profit agency. I moved to San Diego in in 2001 and started a marketing and business development consulting business. I have since moved back to the Bay Area and recently joined the Santa Clara County FireSafe Council (SCFSC) as a coordinator helping manage events, grants/fundraising and community programs.
