Project Info
Sunday Friends is the Working Alternative to Charity. We provide a community setting where very low-income families in downtown San Jose earn the things they need as they build self-sufficiency and pride. Our families learn the satisfaction that comes from supporting themselves as they give back to their community.
In August, our programs will offer hundreds of children new backpacks, pens, dictionaries, atlases and so much more. These are the tools our children need to succeed, first in school, and then in life.
We will continue to provide these materials throughout the year as new students join our growing program. But we need your help.
Sunday Friends also engages thousands of volunteers, demonstrating that working together, we can make a real difference in the lives of those in need.
