Project Info
Shady Shakespeare performs free Shakespeare in the Park in Saratoga, California. As our crowds have increased, we have noticed more and more complaints from patrons, specifically the elderly, that they are unable to hear the actors. We have a small sound system currently that we use for recorded sound effects and music. Last year, we invested $1,000 in three new stationary microphones, but they made only a little bit of difference. If we are to project the actors voices at a level where people can consistently hear, we will need 2 new powered speakers, 3 more stationary microphones, and two wireless microphones for special effects, assorted cable, and some training on how best to use these devices.
