PROJECT
You can help foster rabbits … virtually!
It doesn’t take long for little bunnies to grow up if they get proper nutrition and care. If you’d like to help rescued rabbits, but don’t have space in your house to become a foster home, you can still help! Consider making a donation to provide fresh greens, hay and healthy pellets to fostered rabbits so they develop good nutrition habits as they await their permanent homes.

Project Info
The Rabbit Haven typically has 85+ rabbits in our foster system at a time. Because we don’t receive any public funding, much of the money to cover our expenses is donated by caring volunteers and private contributors. Your donation will really make a difference!
A healthy rabbit diet includes the proper balance of fresh greens, hay, and a limited amount of pellets. The type and amount needed depends on the age and size of each rabbit. While rescued rabbits are waiting for permanent homes, The Rabbit Haven makes sure they get healthy diets and safe indoor living environments. For just the cost of one sandwich per week, your donation of $20 can provide a bale of timothy or alfalfa hay – the mainstay of the rabbit’s diet – for an entire month. For the cost of a dinner in a nice restaurant, $50 provides a bunny with fresh dark, leafy greens every day for a month.
Did you know rabbits can be litter-boxed trained? You can donate to provide litter and other supplies to give them a safe, in-home foster environment while they await their permanent home. We keep our rabbits indoors, safe from predators and the elements. We provide them with plenty of room to call their own, toys to stimulate their natural bunny behaviors, and lots of TLC to get them ready for their permanent homes. A $100 donation provides a complete starter setup for a rabbit foster home – cage or xpen enclosure, crockery dishes, litterbox, toys – the works!
The Rabbit Haven also provides educational materials to help first-time and repeat bunny lovers become responsible rabbit guardians, and a support network that puts the needs of the rabbits first. Won’t you please help?
