Project Info

An essential part of volunteering at Petpals is to take initial orientation training. This half-day class is taught by a certified pet behaviorist and explains to volunteers how an animal-assisted visit is conducted. The session also re-tests the temperament of the volunteer's pet(s) to ensure that it is properly socialized in the context of close quarters, medical equipment, and other pets.

Currently, 1/6 (one sixth) of the training budget is covered by volunteer donations. We are seeking funding for the remaining 5/6 (five sixths). The yearly budget is approximately $1800

We are planning additional training and will submit as separate projects.
