Project Info

Deaf people have talents and abilities and an extraordinary language - American Sign Language. Project HIRED has a special focus area to assist Deaf and Hard of Hearing adults to find competitive employment.

The impact on the lives of these disabled individuals is huge. The average wage increase of a successfully placed client is over $500 per week, or $26,000 per year. At least 50% have been unemployed for 6 months or more. The increase in personal pride and independence is immeasurable.
