Project Info
People come to InnVision hungry, tired, sick, beaten down, sometimes beaten-up, sometimes mentally ill, usually beyond hope, and always afraid. They leave InnVision with new skills, new contacts, new attitudes, and a new, self-sufficient life. The first big step toward beginning a new life starts with a warm bed, a hot meal, a shower, clean clothes, transportation and a place to play and study.
InnVision programs reach throughout Santa Clara and San Mateo counties and serve more than 16,000 men, women, children and mentally ill adults each year at 20 different sites. InnVision addresses the multiple needs of people in transition, including emergency shelters, transitional/supportive housing, food, clothing, showers, laundry, healthcare, job training, classes, children’s programs and access to telephones and computers. The InnVision approach to breaking the cycle of homelessness is innovative and comprehensive. Our proven track record and demonstrated success in leveraging community resources maximizes every dollar received.
