Project Info

Dino is an adorable, loving dog that was surrendered to Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority because his guardian lost his job and could not longer care for him. We took him into our care at Humane Society Silicon Valley because we knew that despite his hip issues, he was a super-loving dog that deserved a second chance. Dino aced his behavior assessment, but was diagnosed with bilateral hip dysplasia with marked arthrosis. To make him more comfortable, he had a full hip replacement on his left hip. Dino will never be a marathon runner, but the hope is that having one good hip will allow him to shift the weight from his right hip to his new, good hip and give him a better quality of life. He is an amazingly affectionate dog that loves gentle walks, other dogs, and people! He loves to give kisses and to receive belly rubs.

Although we are not able to take a bunch of pictures of him right now because he is really supposed to be kept quiet and not get excited, we did take the one above right before his surgery. Please help us cover his surgery costs. We could not do this work for these deserving animals without your help and support.
