Our school kids desperately need counseling services. Teen and Family Counseling Center needs funds to continue the Counselor-on-Campus Program in local schools. A $70 donation will fund one counseling session, $420 will fund 10 sessions and could well turn a kid's life around.

Project Info

For the last 26 years, non-profit counseling agency Teen & Family Counseling Center has been listening to students in local schools and in our low-cost community clinic in Campbell. Many kids come to school each day suffering from alcohol and drug abuse, depression, family conflict, loss and grief, stress and anxiety.

The California budget crisis has sent local school districts reeling and as a result there are no funds to support TFCC’s vital Counselor-on-Campus Program. Despite financial difficulties, TFCC has chosen to place pro bono counselors in some schools one day a week. One day is not enough and students are faced with long waiting lists. We want to continue our low cost counseling services in the clinic; we want to continue to provide services to the students in the schools; and we want to continue providing our interns and trainees with the training and experiences to become the best in their field. But our funds are limited.

How can you help? A $70 donation from you will sponsor one teen for one counseling session – typically teens attend about 6 sessions in the school setting and ten plus sessions in TFCC’S low-cost clinic in Campbell. Marriage and Family Therapy interns and trainees conduct counseling sessions under the supervision of licensed professionals.
