GaGa for Gigi
Save a life! Help dogs just like Gigi, a 13-year-old terrier/chihuahua mix, who was in desperate need of medical attention when she arrived at Humane Society Silicon Valley. Help support Humane Society Silicon Valley's (HSSV) home foster program for special needs animals, like Gigi, who otherwise wouldn't have a second chance at life! Not every animal can thrive at a shelter, so HSSV makes sure they have alternatives!

Gigi, a 13-year-old terrier/chihuahua mix, was in desperate need of medical attention when she arrived at Humane Society Silicon Valley. Her eye was in horrible shape and needed to be removed. Plus, her teeth were utterly decayed and had to be extracted - every single one of them! But,she's still as cute as a button with a really happy outlook!
Next, our veterinarian spayed Gigi and our groomers bathed and clipped her poor matted fur. She is now in a loving foster home where she is recovering from her surgeries. She is a darling sweetheart who definitely deserved a second chance. If Humane Society Silicon Valley hadn't rescued her from another shelter and invested in her medical needs, she wouldn't be alive today!
It is expensive to run a foster program and to medically treat special needs animals, in addition to running a shelter that is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. However, many of our shelter guests can only do well in a home environment while they wait or recover. Your gifts to "Gaga for Gigi" can help Gigi and all her other friends to stay in the home-care they deserve until we can find them the perfect permanent home of their own.
