Project Info
2009 through 2012 New Clothes & New Shoe Drive collects lingerie, stockings, socks, panties, boxers, bras, bustiers, corsets, sleepwear, daywear, shorts, pants, shirts, blouses, skirts, scarf’s, suits, dresses, jeans, sweaters, coats, hats, gloves, jackets, ear muffs, athletic shoes, dress shoes and boots to help support this four year campaign.
Our campaign goal is to secure $100,000.00 funds to launch our campaign, we have recruited more than 100 volunteers, to help host clothing and shoes drive to collect new clothing and new shoes in order to provide new clothes and new shoes for the needy throughout Northern Toledo, OH, Lucas county and other Ohio cities and counties. We will continue to seek volunteers and potential donors to give continue support of their time, money and expertise in this four year campaign.
The New Clothes & New Shoes For the Kidz Program collects new clothes and shoes and distributes them to homeless single mothers with children and homeless single mothers with children leaving out of domestic violence situation and residing in our homeless shelter. The shoes will be distributed to the youth residing at the homeless shelter, low income youth participating in community centers and recreation centers, youths in our Mentoring program and other after-school activities and programs.
The program supports homeless single mothers residing in homeless shelters to help them dress for success, while going on a job interview, obtaining a job or attending college or a technical trade school to learn a skill or trade that will help them to start a professional career, which will help them to become self-sufficient and self-reliant. Our program will provide them with a outfit that will help them to feel positive about themselves and feel secure in the new step they are about to take in their life, whether it is attending school, starting a new career, or going on a job interview to begin a new career.
The New Clothes & New Shoes For The Kidz Program also distributes new clothes and new shoes to needy children residing in distressed communities in Northern Toledo, OH, Lucas county and other Ohio cities and counties. The program was implemented to give the children the opportunity to feel good about themselves and improving their self-esteem, while at the same time receiving new clothes and shoes. A child self-esteem improves when he or she is able to put on new clothes and new shoes. It changes the child’s prospective on life and make them feel good about themselves. The program distributes new clothes & new shoes to needy children for back to school, disaster situations, youth development, emergency assistance and/or during the holidays.
The Gift Of Giving New Job, New Suit Program that will serve homeless and economically disadvantaged men in Northern Toledo, OH, Lucas county and other Ohio cities and counties, who are in search of a job, but doesn’t have the proper attire to wear on a job interview.
The Gift Of Giving New Job, New Suit Programs is a project implemented to give economically disadvantage homeless men the opportunity to dress for success while going on job interviews to obtain a job in order for them to become self-sufficient and self-reliant. The program was designed to help low income men residing in homeless shelters throughout the communities of Northern Toledo, OH, Lucas county and other Ohio cities and counties. The suits are being distributed to economically disadvantage men in homeless shelters, substance abuse centers and other transitional housing for men, who are seeking employment and need a suit to wear to their job interview.
Economically disadvantage men will benefit from the products that are being requested. The program served economically disadvantage men of all ages. The Program is targeted toward economically disadvantage homeless men on the road to recovery and resides in urban inner cities and rural areas.
