Project Info
Each year, 5th graders across the state attend a week-long, hands-on science camp. The Redwood City School District cut this program from its budget many years ago, but students still attend, thanks to funding provided by the RCEF. We cover transporation costs, teacher stipends, and coordinator costs. With more money we could provide student scholarships. The program provides students science enrichment through the hands-on exploration of their natural environment. For many students, this is their first time out of the urban world, and their first time at camp.
