Project Info
The SMART Grant program brings innovation in teaching science, math, arts, and technology into the classroom. We provide grants to individual teachers with principal approval. Grants have supported field trips to the zoo to study animal adaptations, Art-in-Action, bookmaking, and science workshops provided by the Marine Science Institute and the Lawrence Hall of science. The SMART grants allow schools to go beyond the academic basics and narrow math/language arts curriculum which is all our District can provide.
