Project Info

The Ronald McDonald House at Stanford provides a home-away-from-home and support for all families of children with life-threatening illnesses receiving treatment at local hospitals.

Our existing playhouse, located in our Garden Immune Wing, is over 10 years old and has structural damage making it unsafe for children. The Garden Immune Wing is exclusively for patients who have received bone-marrow transplants. The children staying in the wing are completely isolated from the rest of the House and are unable to attend school at the hospital. With your donation, we can replace the old playhouse and give these children an opportunity to have fun while they are recovering - the chance to play in the playhouse will provide a much-needed distraction and bring lots of smiles to their faces.
