Project Info

The CLIK (Computer Learning for Ill Kids) program began at the Ronald McDonald House at Stanford in May 1993. Since then this program has given the children who stay at the House an opportunity to learn computer skills, use sophisticated systems, send and receive e-mail, and genuinely enjoy themselves in a carefree activity that can help take their minds off the serious nature of their various diagnoses. Given this opportunity to explore new interests and expand their environment, the kids smile, laugh, and squirm with delight as they design the ultimate playground, play a challenging game, or send a photo to grandma.

CLIK is in need of an upgrade. In order for the kids to be able to use current technology, we want to replace four of the older computers and purchase two scanners and a printer. Your funds will also help us buy some new software including Adobe Photoshop and some games. We will also stock up on consumables, particularly printer cartridges, photo paper, blank CDs and DVDs. The kids love to make things to share with their families!
