We can rent computers in Rwanda for $150 for about 6 months. We need 15 people to give $10 to supply the very first classroom with a computer. Each person who gives $10 will have their name on the computer in the classroom. This is a unique opportunity to help furnish the first classroom in the new Vocational School! Amani Africa is breaking ground for Amani Vocational School this October in Nyamata, Rwanda. Amani Africa has recognized that we must target the children who bear the consequences of the genocide and poverty, and then provide them with the tools and resources to take a stake in the future of their communities. Through our skills development and job-training programs, young men and women will receive the tools and education to work in the tourism, culinary, hospitality, and tailoring industries. The School will be teaching the students marketable skills that will allow them future job opportunities and economic stability.
Computer skills are very important in the job market. These skills are extremely marketable and essential to job security and economic stability. In order for the students to become successful and stable, they need to have strong computer skills.
