Project Info

Hudson, Ohio – March 14, 2008 – The Hudson Community Foundation will continue to spearhead efforts to fund local fireworks. A non-profit organization that sponsors and underwrites many youth, art and community programs, Hudson Community Foundation (HCF) has made a gift of $15,000 to kick off the 2008 fireworks fundraising campaign.

Fourth of July fireworks, a 36-year Hudson tradition, were suspended two years ago after City of Hudson lost its primary fireworks sponsor. Fourth of July fireworks cost approximately $30,000, in addition to the cost of a host of community supportive services.

The Citizens and Merchants of Hudson have supported this effort in the past and are being solicited again this year.
