PROJECT
Give a gift to a visually impaired child this holiday season!
Children who are born visually impaired face many challenges as they develop. Vision is the primary source of learning for most children, and finding alternative ways to learn and develop is a challenge for families. This holiday season we want to provide 40 early learning toys to an agency that serves this population.

Project Info
The Family Giving Tree is gearing up for its 18th holiday season, and now more than ever your help is needed. We provide gifts to 239 agencies, including more than 10 that specialize in serving special needs children. Visually impaired children have to explore and learn about the world in very different ways. A lot of support is needed for these children and their families. Many families are under financial pressure due to the expense of raising a special needs child. The Family Giving Tree’s mission is to give these children that one special moment when they receive a gift that has been requested by the families. We believe that every child should have a sense of normalcy during the holiday season, and our program assists parents who perhaps could not afford to purchase a special gift for their child.
This project’s goal is to raise $800 to help make the holidays brighter for these children. Every $20 donation will help provide a gift to one deserving vision impaired child. By reaching our $800 goal we will be able to grant the holiday wishes of 40 deserving children.
