Project Info
RotaCare Free Clinic of San Jose provides free medical care to the people with the greatest need and the least access to medical care. This care includes laboratory services, radiology services, and medication. There are over 1700 patient visits each year and 30% of our patients are repeat patients. Most of these repeat patients are living with a chronic illness and their conditions require them to be on life-long medications. Called the "working poor", their jobs either do not pay for their insurance or they cannot pay for it themselves. Without medical insurance, many patients have to make the choice between paying rent, buying food, or purchasing medications. RotaCare helps remove this burden for these people. Medication for 100 patients can be provided for only $2,400. Please help make our community a healthier place for those in need.
The clinic is supported by a volunteer staff of Doctors, Nurses, Pharmacists, interpreters, and admin staff.
