CATS: Being homeless doesn't have to mean living without hope!

Humane Society Silicon Valley

Even though homeless cats traditionally have shortened life spans, with your help, Humane Society Silicon Valley can help stem the tide of the thousands of kittens that are born homeless each year - and over time, stop the cycle of uncertainty and pain for these helpless creatures. With your support, HSSV will be able to provide spay and neuter surgeries for homeless cats at a minimal cost to caring community members. If we spay and neuter 4,800 cats per year, we will see a decline in the number of homeless cats by roughly 10% each year in our community - and more importantly, we will see a decrease in the number of cats and kittens euthanized at public shelters!

Project Info

Humane Society Silicon Valley cares about animals' lives - especially when those lives are the estimated 125,000 homeless cats that live in Santa Clara County, California. Along with an HSSV-spearheaded coalition of almost 10 organizations and dozens of community members, HSSV is making an impact in the lives of homeless cats all over Silicon Valley.

HSSV would like to raise funds to supplement the funding from Santa Clara County earmarked for homeless cat spay/neuter. Even though we run out of county money each month, HSSV spays and neuters approximately 50 unowned cats and kittens every month throughout the year. With your kind gift of $45 for a female cat and $15 for a male cat, you can cover the cost of additional life-saving spay/neuter surgeries and prevent countless lives from being born. Please visit http://www.catswithoutahome.com to learn about HSSV's documentary about the homeless cat crisis and how you can help in other ways.
