Founded: 2004

We (1) assist the mental and physical healing of facility (hospitals, shelters, schools, homes) residents of all ages through a friend and a pet that will interact, listen and play with them, without prejudice to their mental and/or physical situations, during scheduled visits; (2) foster pet health and safety within the organization and throughout the community through education, research, and organization and management of pet-related activities and services. Petpals accomplishes this by nurturing close relationships with health care and social services organizations to support their pet-assisted healing needs and by collecting, analyzing and communicating leading-edge pet health news and research.
