Founded: 1980

For 31 years as a group attached to the Santa Clara County Social Services Agency and from 1980 as a non-profit, community-based organization, IRCC, Inc. has been giving refugees and immigrants social, educational and referral services, including ESL, training, job search, citizenship assistance and parenting. Now IRCC, Inc. is building the Boat People Museum of the Republic of Vietnam to educate and delight the community of Santa Clara County and beyond. The three components of the Museum are the history of Vietnam from 1950-1975, the Boat People refugees coming to the United States, and the steps of how the refugees become "Americans."
