Join us in saving 16mm educational/academic films from destruction, and preserve their content for future generations. Approximately 100,000 of these important films were made in the 20th century for the purpose of educating America's learners on subjects ranging from science, to culture, to art, to literature. These films are being thrown away or discarded by public, university, and school libraries for reasons of lack of space, and most of their content has not, or will not be preserved digitally. Our charter is to save them by accepting donated films from libraries, and we are the only institution to focus on saving these films. We have no paid employees, and most of your donations will go directly to paying the considerable shipping costs associated with receiving these rare and forgotten films from donor institutions.
