Founded: 1886

St. Francis School is a K-8 Catholic school in the inner city of Cleveland, Ohio. We provide quality education to low-income urban children. The school is under the direction of the Sisters of Notre Dame and has recently been named by the Gund and Cleveland Foundations as a "Cleveland school that is making a difference." Researchers stated,"A key initiative at the school is the PeaceBuilders Program, a nationwide anti-violence youth program." This program creates a safe, warm environment where education is the focus. Tuition assistance is needed to make this school a choice for more low-income youth in the area.
