Friends of Watsonville Animal Shelter (FOWAS)is a non profit organization 501(C)helping prevent euthaniasia of shelter animals through our free spaying/neutering for dogs, cats, feral cats, and rabbits in our community. This program is open to low-income residents. Our feral cat spaying/neutering is open to all residents and business owners.

Fowas has a "2nd Chance Fund" helping sick and injured animals get the care and "second chance", they need by allocting money for adoptable animals that need expensive health care which the animal shelter does not supply.

FOWAS also helps out in "Creature Comforts" for the animals at our shelter.

Most recently with the fires in Santa Cruz County, we have assisted in the needs of resident's animals effected by the fires.
