Founded in 1998, GMS has a current enrollment of 126, 42 in each class. We feature an all-girl environment with a diverse student population. 20% of our girls are on full scholarship. GMS offers a challenging academic curriculum, which encourages creativity, problem solving, project-based and self-directed study. We emphasize strong writing, reading, speaking, research and critical thinking skills without excessive busy work, homework and competition. Students also study non-traditional subjects, such as computer science, woodshop and engineering. Girls are taught to collaborate and know their explicit rights and responsibilities. By intentionally recruiting a diverse group of high-achieving girls, we build a multicultural school community.
