A 53-year-old professional regional opera company with a history of active community involvement, including training community members and volunteers to perform the most varied aspects of stage crew, chorus and other tasks necessary to put on three fully staged, professional opera productions per season. Our Opera In The Schools (OITS) program visits 50 schools every year in the San Francisco peninsula, bringing opera to over 20,000 children, in most cases their first exposure to the genre.
