Founded: 1867

For 140 years, the YMCA of Santa Clara Valley - a multi-faceted,
community based, non-profit human services organization – has been
teaching and reinforcing basic values of Caring, Honesty, Respect
and Responsibility to people of all ages. The YMCA accomplishes
this by incorporating “Developmental Assets” through effective
programs that influence and reinforce positive values in the lives of
all children and youth. Developmental Assets are the positive
relationships, opportunities, values, and skills that young people
need to grow up caring and responsible.
