Protect Homeless Cats

Charity: Humane Society Silicon Valley. Categories: Animals Community . Provide vaccines, microchips and tests for deadly diseases that can spread to an entire colony of homeless cats. Even though homeless cats traditionally have shortened life spans, we can help these helpless creatures live safer, healthier lives. With your support, HSSV will provide vaccinations, combo testing and microchips at cost...just $21 per cat. As a starting goal, we're going to try to raise $1,050 to provide these items for 50 cats in the month of October.

Sassy Sheba seeks satisfying sponsorship

Charity: Humane Society Silicon Valley. Categories: Animals . Sheba is a sophisticated 8 year old cat who landed at Humane Society Silicon Valley (HSSV) after living with one family her whole life. She's been at HSSV for over 8 months, and we're working hard to keep her healthy, social and contented. HSSV believes that every adoptable animal deserves a chance for a new home, regardless of age or breed, and it is expensive to care for animals for long periods of time! Show the community that Sheba is valued by others, not just HSSV staff and volunteers by sponsoring her condo for $500. We'll post the sponsoring friends on a special certificate on Sheba's condo for one year!

Support a Girl's Scholarship to School

Charity: Room to Read. Categories: Children and Youth Community Education International . Room to Read’s Room to Grow Girls' Scholarship Program has an immediate and direct impact on the lives of thousands of girls in the developing world. An education provides security and support to girls who often grow up in very uncertain environments and empowers them to make informed life decisions. A solid education beginning in the early years is the key ingredient for improved status for women, which provides a ripple of positive effects throughout society.

Through this project, you can fund girls' scholarships in Cambodia, India, Laos, Nepal, Sri Lanka or Vietnam. These long-term, holistic scholarships make it possible for a girl, who would otherwise not have access to an education, to attend school through the secondary level.

You can fund a one year girl's scholarship for $250 or a ten year girl's scholarship for $2,500.
