Charity: Developing Indigenous Resources. Categories: Arts and Culture Children and Youth Community Health International . Boys and girls aged 9-14 are creating street plays, puppet shows and songs about health for their neighbors in the slums of Chandigarh, India. Each performance teaches an important message about balanced diet, preventing mosquito-born disease, clean water, or sanitation. Since preventable illnesses take such a heavy toll on the poor and uneducated, these simple messages can empower families to improve their living conditions and lead healthier lives.
